Guilt and shame usually weigh heavy in an addicts heart and conscience. They are destructive. Many times this load alone serves as a trigger for an addict. It can affect those with an active addiction, those in the journey to recovery, and even those who have been sober for years.
Saying “I’m sorry” is sometimes not enough. It doesn’t right the wrong. One way to work on righting the wrong is making amends. Making amends is repairing or compensating for damage done.
On my website, one my focuses will be finding ways to make amends to my loved ones. This alone will be an interesting journey. I’ll be sharing my experiences through that journey as well.
This project is still in the works so please stick around to read more!
