Rob Lowe is an alcoholic. He, reportedly, was introduced to drinking at the age of five by his father. On the set of movie The Outsiders in 1982 he and the rest of the cast were regularly given beer. By age 26, he hit rock bottom.
He attended rehab in 1990 and has been sober for 26 years.
